It’s official. Sony will bring more PlayStation exclusives to PC, starting with survival horror hit Days Gone.

The developer behind the former PlayStation exclusive took to Twitter to confirm the news.

This is a good thing, right? More players get to experience some truly great games, and Sony stands to make even more money, so it is a win-win.

However, some people from the internet do not agree, claiming that there is no point in owning a PlayStation if the games can be bought on other platforms. Technically, these people are right, but that is the beauty of not having exclusives, everyone can play them on their desired platform.

Seriously, just think of the amount of money people would save through not having to own an Xbox, PlayStation and PC to play everything.

We will not include Nintendo on this list because the likes of Zelda and Pokemon will never come to other platforms, and the company did have a handheld focus for years. Oh, and given Nintendo laughed Microsoft out of the building when an acquisition proposition was made, it would be safe to assume they have no interest in sharing first-party games.

Yet, there is no excuse for the other platforms. Console wars are toxic and frankly should have no place. Regardless of platform preference, gamers should all be able to like what they like and discuss great games such as Days Gone without the drawback of exclusivity.

Speaking of Days Gone, the action-adventure horror title is superb and thoroughly deserves to be enjoyed by a wider audience.

I, for one, loved it. I was one of the first 0.2% to get the platinum trophy, which should say how consumed I was by this game. Deacon has quite the story to explore in this post-outbreak world, set in Oregon.

It has everything going for it, incredible scenery and surroundings, great characters and a narrative that should be followed to the end. Moreover, anyone that knows me will know just how much of a sucker I am for a good soundtrack and Days Gone has one of the best for the last generation.
